- It is a mainworld which is a satellite of either a gas giant or another world.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Parsalax Subsector of Extent Sector.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
This star system is detailed using the Fringian Variant System Description.
- It forms a part of the Delphic Tract.
- It is a member of the Imohep Cluster.
System Data[edit]
Soush System[edit]
The primary is an unnamed dim red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.004 Sols, a mass of 0.273 Sols, and a diameter of 414,000 km. (I) a very thin atmosphere radworld, (II) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (III) Pender, a ringed small gas giant: (IIIb) Soush is its outer moon and is designated the mainworld, (IV) a trace atmosphere iceworld, and (V) a vacuum worldlet form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Red Subdwarf Subsystem[edit]
The companion is an unnamed dim red subdwarf star that orbits the primary at a mean distance of 21.3 AU (orbital position (IX), 3.2 billion km) and has an orbital period of 207 years. It has a luminosity of 0.00054 Sols, a mass of 0.07 Sols, and a diameter of 91,500 km. (I) an exotic atmosphere stormworld, (II) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, and (IV) a dense icy planetoid belt, form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
(III) Pender[edit]
(III) Pender is a ringed small gas giant that orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.78 AU (116.7 million km), within the habitable zone, and has an orbital period of 1 year 116 days. It has a diameter of 27,300 km and is a deep blue colour. It retains a family of two major satellites of which the outer, (IIIb) Soush, is designated the mainworld.
Mainworld Data[edit]
(IIIb) Soush[edit]
(IIIb) Soush is the outer of the two major moons of (III) Pender and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 12 diameters (330,000 km), with an orbital period of 32 days 3 hours: it is tidally locked to Pender. The axial tilt is 3 degrees relative to Pender. Soush has a diameter of 953 km, a density of 2.31 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.028 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Pender cause regular geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. Around 7% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice. Mean surface temperature: -131°C.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
Total surface area: 2.8 million km², Land surface area: 2.6 million km², Water surface area: 200,000 km².
