Silenne is a preindustrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Iywe'uar Subsector of Touchstone Sector.
Description (Planetology)[edit]
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
There is evidence that a mid-tech society arose on Silenne in the distant past but eventually collapsed back to barbarism. The current Human population have adapted to the local ecosystem, which produces several compounds that are mildly toxic to offworlders. Adaptation over millennia has resulted in slight changes to some organs, which could possibly qualify the local population as a distinct Human race.
