Revegant is a nonindustrial, fluidic hellworld with a population struggling to survive in an inhospitable environment.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Esaran Cultural Area in the Sena Subsector of Halcyon Sector.

System data[edit]
Garron-Revegant System[edit]
The primary is Garron, an ordinary white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 6.26 Sols, a mass of 1.54 Sols, and a diameter of 2.198 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum inner world, (II) a trace atmosphere inner world, (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (IV) a sparse rocky planetoid belt. Orbital positions (V) through (VIII) are unavailable due to the presence of the companion star. (IX) Revegant, designated the mainworld, (X) a large gas giant, (XI) a ringed small ice giant, and (XII) a thin atmosphere bigworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Rollim Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Rollim, a dim red main sequence star that orbits Garron at a mean distance of 3 AU (orbital position (XI), 449 million km) with an orbital period of 4 years 68 days. It has a luminosity of 0.004 Sols, a mass of 0.273 Sols, and a diameter of 414,000 km. (I) a very thin atmosphere radworld, (II) a dense atmosphere bigworld, and (III) a small gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
(IX) Revegant[edit]
(IX) Revegant is designated the mainworld. It orbits Garron at a mean distance of 18.7 AU (2.8 million km), within the outer zone. It has an orbital period of 65 years 60 days and a rotation period of 33 hours. The axial tilt is 19 degrees. Revegant has a diameter 11327 km, a density of 5.82 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.94 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Exotic, with a mean surface pressure of 2.31 bar and a composition of 93% nitrogen, 4% methane, 2% carbon dioxide, and 1% argon, water vapour, carbon monoxide, neon and other trace gases. Approximately 9% of the surface is covered in lakes of liquid methane: average tidal ranges exceed 0.1m. Mean surface temperature: -151°C. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star scour the surface. The climate is seasonal.
Satellite[edit]
Revegant retains a single natural satellite, a small thin atmosphere world named Meanin:
- (IXa) Meanin (UWP H300000-0, orbiting Revegant at 25 Diameters/283,000 km)
Mainworld geography and topography[edit]
Total surface area: 403 million km², Land surface area: 367 million km², Fluid surface area: 36 million km².
Native lifeforms[edit]
No world in the Revegant system has native life.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World starport[edit]
Revegant has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World technology level[edit]
Revegant possesses a Technology Level of TL–7.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early video and early satellite communication networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fuel cells, solar energy, and geothermal power sources.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Improved automobiles, hovercraft, and bullet trains.
- Water: Hydrofoils and early triphibians.
- Air: Hang gliders and supersonic jets.
- Space: Deep space probes and interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World government[edit]
Revegant is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
