History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
In -1010, Aslan ihatei from the Khalyasyu' clan attempted to conquer Pendang but were instead defeated by planetary defence forces. The surviving Aslan were offered a secondary world in the Pendang system -- Steiraya -- which they gratefully accepted, pledging their allegiance.
Marlheim captured Pendang in 831; Pendang had twice the population but lagged a full Tech Level behind, allowing the Marlheim navy and marines to take the world with relatively little bloodshed.
Languages[edit]

- Platt
- Platt -- itself influenced by languages including Trokh -- combined with a form of Reavers Cant to produce Kdaar; the modern version of which, deliberately engineered by the totalitarian government, is Marldaar.
