Nebelwelt is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.

Esperanza maintains a modest force of ground troops on Nebelwelt. Part of this force provides guards for the Esperanzan enclave at the starport but most is based in a remote region for reasons that have never been disclosed.

New Era[edit]
By the Regency era, Nebelwelt has been claimed by Esperanza (Reft 0926).[2] The Regency policy of not allowing the multiple world polities required Nebelwelt become an independent world.[3]
