Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
No information yet available.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Extensive and highly developed native life, with vast forests covering most of the landmass other than the polar regions. The animal life of NX-38-S1 is extremely territorial and aggressive, engaged in a constant battle with predatory plants as well as other animals. The more successful animal species have largely retreated to the mountains, separated into rapidly diverging populations by a "sea" of hostile vegetation.
The mountain pouncer is a six-limbed predator that moves quickly through trees or along exposed rock faces, fortunately solitary unless a female with young is encountered. Its has a heavily muscled body and thick fur.
Venomvines are not truly plant or animal. They resemble long creepers, parts of which are capable of creeping slowly towards an infrared source, such as body heat.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ruins have been sighted in the lowlands or mapped by radar from orbit. There are also starship wrecks on the surface, not all of modern origins. These older hulks might be a treasure trove of artefacts.
