Monarchy of Lod
An interstellar polity, located in the Florian Subsector of The Beyond Sector.
Description[edit]
After the Civil War in the Third Imperium, some of those who had supported failed claimants gathered their households and whatever retainers remained loyal and fled into non-aligned space. One group, led by Leandra Miinilargi, former Countess Fornice, settled the uninhabited garden world of Lod in 631.
Demographics[edit]
- Human: The vast majority of the population.
- Small enclaves of Freni are established on Monarchy of Lod worlds.
- Small enclaves of Vargr might be found.
Interstellar Relations[edit]
The Monarchy was a founding member of the Web Edge Agreement (see, Web Edge Consortium) that established a second trading embassy with the I'Sred*Ni Protectorate. Lod also established tentative contacts with the Stormhaven Republic and the Corellan League early in its history.
A Zhodani embassy is present on Lod, but the Monarchy has never sent an ambassador to the Consulate.
The Monarchy has signed a mutual defense arrangement with Beriel.
Military[edit]
- Royal Lod Space Force (RLSF): The dominant military service of the Monarchy. A mixture of feudal levy and professional force.
- More than a hundred 5,000-ton Dragon-class destroyers serve as much as emblems of pride for the Noble Houses than they do an organized military force.
- Royal Lod Army (RLA): A small force tasked with security operations.
- The RLA Monarch's Regiment is an elite highly trained unit that protects the Monarch and royal properties.
- The other ten regiments, including the Eerker Occupation Regiment, have been described as poorly led and trained, though they are well equipped to TL-11 standards.
