Midbeshad is a poor low-population, nonindustrial world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- As a nonindustrial world, It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by Vargr sophonts located in the Uztsaadzuelleng Subsector of Ktiin'gzat Sector.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.

Mainworld Data[edit]
The Midbeshad mainworld sits in Orbit 7 but is slightly inward of the optimal "sweet spot" of the Habitable Zone. This has allowed some agrarian attempts at terraforming the shores of the few large lakes and small seas on the surface of the planet.
History and Background[edit]
While the more progressive and publicly acceptable TL-16 innovations see testing, production, marketing and distribution on Llotree (Ktiin'gzat 0839), it is on Midbeshad that less savory research and development is overseen by Enclave Famuurueroergoghz Navy on detached, remote and classified duty. The 8,000 Suedzuk and Urzaeng Vargr have set up a remote, desert facility surrounding the local Naval Base. What specific, Extra High-Technology breakthroughs are being researched and developed is unknown, a matter of state and military secrets. One aspect of TL-16 that is certainly not being delved into, outsiders insist, is Artificial Intelligence, since thinking machines have no Vargr Charisma and thus no value.
Midbeshad (a Second Imperium name of Somali descent) was abandoned after the fall of the Rule of Man and the Ramshackle Empire. Recently re-settled by Enclave Famuurueroergoghz for extra-polity research, this world is barely a Naval Base Downport and surrounding collection of laboratories and testing grounds. Though the desert world Downport allows emergency landings at an otherwise Class-A Starport, visiting starship crews are not permitted off the port concourses and there is zero Extrality planetside.
Corsair activity from nearby worlds limits itself to the three Gas Giants and purposely avoids the node of military density surrounding the Midbeshad mainworld. Belting operations by loner-owned Seekers apply over comms signals to the local Navy for wildcatting permits in the two planetoid belts.
World Government[edit]
The government has resorted to a Technological Feudalism with homage to Enclave Famuurueroergoghz as its benefactor. The low Law Level is due to the remote location outside the Vargr polity. Visiting crews may tote their favorite weapons to certain limits because of the common sight of military troops on duty and stationed here.
