Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Marapagas Void is an area of lower stellar density lying close to the coreward edge of the Great Rift.

  • It covers parts of six subsectors.
  • The region measures around 23 parsecs spinward-trailing and is on average around 6 parsecs coreward-rimward, although many sections are narrower.
  • It is named for Marapagas, a system lying towards its spinward-rimward edge.
  • No stars are located within the Void.
  • It forms a natural obstacle to coreward expansion.

The highest tech level commonly encountered out this Far Along (spinward of the Third Imperium) is TL–12, though a few worlds may be more advanced.
