- Malefolge is in the throes of a planetwide civil war after an attempted military coup d'etat. The military coup involved recruiting units of mercenaries, but after the coup failed, Colonel Eugen Semyon, leader of one of the mercenary units, has now became the de facto ruler of the rebel-controlled areas. The war is current in a state of stasis - the rebels are simply holding territory and not attacking, and the government does not have the leadership or forces to attack the rebels. As a result the world has an Amber Zone designation.
World starport[edit]
Malefolge has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
