The M311 Predator class Grav APC is a Armored Fighting Vehicle.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The M311 Predator class Grav APC was designed and manufactured at TL–12. Built for the Pador Military Forces for internal security missions. They are also used by the TL–12 army and marine battalion formations, and are designed to deliver a small squad of seven troopers to the FEBA. The fusion gun can easily deal with most enemy Grav Tanks and the VRF Gauss gun is intended to suppress enemy infantry, and the weapon package is fully stabilized to fire on the move. Designed and built on Pador in the Far Home Sector 2325 A5709AA-C of the Distant Fringe and forwarded deployed from their main Military Base. These probably date from models used during the Scybrian Wars. These can be carried by warships in place of normal Air/Rafts.

M311 Predator class Grav APC, TL 12[edit]

The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner and commander) and carries a squad of seven troopers. It mounts a very powerful fusion gun paired with a coaxial VRF Gauss gun in a fully stabilized rotating turret on the chassis deck. The sensors and communications are considered minimalistic. The 5,000 power radio is a standout unit and supports excellent range which permits satellite uplinks while on the move. The vehicle is sealed with life support for passengers and crew. The armor is rated at or above starship hull metal standards, and can operate in vacuum without difficulty.

Dorsal Turret[edit]

Primary Weapons The dorsal turret measures 1mx2mx5m and is 8m3. It features radically sloped superdense armor and mounts a stabilized fusion gun and a coaxial VRF Gauss Gun to contend with infantry and light vehicles. The custom fusion gun has an 50.6 MW input, and a 14.168 MW output and is fitted with TL–12 direct fire control. The weapon has a burst radius in addition to impact penetration for greater area effect against adjacent targets out to an 18km extreme engagement range. It can engage a single target per firing phase and is automatically spotted when it fires.

Direct Fire Characteristics: 50.6MW input Fusion Gun
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range
4.5km (72)/5(56) 9km (61)/3(45) 18km (38)/2(22)
Direct Fire Characteristics: VRF Gauss Gun
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range
1.5 km (21)+8 3 km (19)+6 4.5 km (17)+3

The main VRF Gauss Gun has storage for 30,000 rounds, enough to allow 23 fire phases of sustained fire. It can engage 16 targets in 15 seconds and has a +4 signature.
