Built for the government of Kim (Co 2431) (world) for internal security missions. They are also used in Hessian functions as Mercenary troops. These TL–10 Artillery Vehicles are designed to provide indirect artillery support. Their main weapon is capable of a dual role. It can engage in direct fire as a last resort. They are provided with fusion power plant that is bigger and more powerful than the M-8 Grav APCs. It is faster and more expensive than the Grav APC as a result. The VRF Gauss gun is intended to suppress enemy infantry, and the weapon mix is stabilized. A single battery of six of these weapons are still in use with Kim's 43rd Royal Guards.

M-10 class Self Propelled 10cm Assault Gun, TL 10[edit]

The vehicle has a crew of three (driver, gunner and commander) and mounts a 10cm high velocity cannon in its function as an Artillery Vehicle with TL–9 direct fire control in the turret. It also mounts a VRF Gauss gun in the fully stabilized rotating turret on the chassis deck. The sensors and communications are considered minimalistic. The 5,000 power radio is a standout unit and supports excellent range which permits satellite uplinks while on the move. The TAC missiles allow it to engage light and fast vehicles at a distance thanks to the 10km range of its LADAR target acquisition sensors. The sloped armor restricted the available interior volume, and makes the vehicle family quite cramped and difficult to operate. The vehicle is NOT sealed nor pressurized to operate in hostile environments.

Dorsal Turret[edit]

10cm High Velocity CPR Gun[edit]

This high velocity gun is fitted with TL–10 indirect fire control, a TL–5 fire direction center so that it can prosecute its own indirect fire missions for a single target without support from a higher echelon. It can protect itself as well and has TL–9 direct fire control and can engage a single target per fire phase. The weapon has a +2 signature when it fires and is fitted with an autoloader to eliminate the need for loaders to reduce crew size. It can not move and execute indirect fire missions. It requires 9.5 turns to set up and has a ROF 5.5 for indirect fire. Rounds mass 30kg each and there is storage for 110(55 RAP) rounds, enough for 20 indirect fire missions. (40) HE, (10) KEAP and (10) Smoke rounds are included in the vehicle's purchase price.

Direct Fire Characteristics: 10cm CPR Gun
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range

Secondary Coaxial Weapons The dorsal 3mx3m turret features sloped composite laminate armor and mounts a VRF Gauss Gun to contend with infantry and light vehicles.

Direct Fire Characteristics: VRF Gauss Gun
Effective Range Long Range Extreme Range

The VRF Gauss Gun has storage for 30,000 rounds, enough to allow 23 fire phases of sustained fire. It can engage 16 targets in 15 seconds and has a +4 signature.

TAC Missile Systems

The Assault Gun has five tactical missile launch rails in weapons pods on the sides of the turret. The 50kg missiles are armed with a light 17cm HEAP (High Explosive Armor Piercing) warhead capable of penetration 49 on hard steel armor. The HE warhead 27/4/4 is typically used against aircraft. An IR follow-up missile is under development, but has yet to see deployment. These missiles have a long range version and a high performance interceptor variant.

Direct Fire Characteristics: HEAP Warhead Missiles
Type Range Price
HE Homing 64km or 54km +10 DM Cr349
HEAP Homing 64km or 54km +10 DM Cr351

The launch system can carry reloads if space in the cargo bay permits. One crew member is required to manually reload the rails externally. (3) Hyper Velocity HE and (2) Long Range HEAP are included in the price.

Indirect Fire Characteristics:
10cm Hi-V CPR Gun

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The M-10 class Self Propelled 10cm Assault Gun was designed and manufactured at TL–10, these vehicles are manufactured for Kim's 43rd Royal Guards to complete the mercenary Dream Ticket on Aramanx/Aramis (Spinward Marches 3005). These were built with money provided upfront by Sternmetal Horizons an interested megacorporation. The total unit budget was MCr30. Direct fire is a last resort for self protection. They tend to take advantage of their low signature to lob huge shells from a great distance.
