Library Data:Akerut
Akerut is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tukera Lines, organized to establish trade routes and shipping stations within the Aramis Subsector. Akerut gains most of its revenue from cargo transport and trade within the subsector. Approximately 25% of its shipping involves transport of cargoes to or from locations outside the subsector. [1]
Established as a subsidiary in Aramis subsector to provide service along feeder routes and carry cargo to and form the Library Data:Vargr trading stations along the border. Akerut maintains a fleet of Hercules class Cargo Transport of 5,000 tons displacement (all identifiable by the 800-range serial number stenciled on the hull and their great size). There are perhaps 50 in the Akerut fleet, and they are constantly occupied in shuttling cargoes to and from the border. [2]
Akerut Lines holds the exclusive license to export Atrake, wine produced on Zila (Spinward Marches 2908), a monopoly they seem certain to keep. [3]
Akerut has a main office at Junidy (Spinward Marches 3202), with facilities at Lablon, Feneteman, Carsten, Jesedipere, Focaline, Zila, Aramanx, Rugbird, and Aramis.[1]
