Kedden is an agricultural world with an ideal environment for producing food from plants, animals, or other lifeforms. The system has a population in the hundreds of thousands of sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gadde Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Kedden, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet, and the fiefdom of a baron. All three are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. During the Long Night this world was named Urikgu.

Mainworld Data

This is a warm and pleasant world, with a lack of an axial tilt.

History and Background

This pleasant, fertile world sends most of its agricultural produce to Core Sector. Nearly 80 per cent of the working population are either directly or indirectly involved in agriculture. However, the working population constitutes only 20 per cent of the population. The lack of axial tilt and warm climate has made this world a retirement home for many of the rich in this region of space. This was not always so. However, when the retirees began to come to the system, it took so long for the convoluted government to come to any decisions, that when a referendum on the immigrants was held, the retirees out-numbered the local population, and so stopped any measures that may have slowed the influx of people.

World Starport (St)

Kedden has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
