Kashni has a tainted or unbreathably thin atmosphere and very little surface water. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Sapphyre Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Kashni, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Igar Ir.

Kashni is the thirteenth satellite of the large inner gas giant, Inaash.

The gas giant and its satellites carry an Amber Zone classification, dissuading travellers from approaching the naval base. Traffic is directed towards the outer gas giant where a small automated refiling station operates a class F starport serving vessels on the Dagudashaag Main.

Mainworld Data

This small world is the only permanent inhabited body in this comparatively barren system, serving the Imperial Navy as a minor repair base.

History and Background

World Starport (St)

Kashni has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• There is an associated Imperial Naval Base, hosting elements of the 218th Fleet.
