Imoloth is a vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.

• Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
• It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Tzura Subsector of Fallow Sector.

System Data

Cherry-Imoloth System

The primary is a Cherry, a dim red subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.00054 Sols, a mass of 0.07 Sols, and a diameter of 91,500 km. (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) a trace atmosphere iceworld, (III) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (IV) Meletrix, a small gas giant: (IVb) Imoloth is its outer major moon and is designated the mainworld, (V) a dense icy planetoid belt, (VI) a ringed very large gas giant, and (VII) a dense icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Dwarf Star Subsystem

The companion is an unnamed dwarf star that lies approximately 5,840 AU from the primary. It has a luminosity of 0.00003 Sols, a mass of 1.11 Sols, and a diameter of 8,400 km. It retains no planetary bodies.

(IV) Meletrix

(IV) Meletrix is a small gas giant that orbits the primary at a mean distance of 0.94 AU (140.6 million km), within the outer system, and has an orbital period of 3 years 163 days. It has a diameter of 27,500 km and is a banded green colour. It retains a family of two major satellites of which the outer, (IVb) Imoloth, is designated the mainworld.

(IVb) Imoloth

(IVb) Imoloth is the outer of the two major moons of (IV) Meletrix and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 15 diameters (410,000 km), with an orbital period of 44 days 8 hours: it is tidally locked to Meletrix. The axial tilt is 2 degrees relative to Meletrix. Imoloth has a diameter of 1,135 km, a density of 2.93 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.03 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Melextrix cause regular geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -143°C.
