A major Aslan clan, currently ranked twenty-seventh in the Aslan Hierate. The Faowaou are a member of the Tlaukhu council and a junior partner in the Uiktawa alliance, along with Iykyasea. Members of this power bloc have assets that lie on the Hierate's spinward and rimward borders. They all have a common interest in exploring and exploiting the frontiers. These clans do not conduct exploration themselves -- they generally turn to Layaefui, an Aslan corporation.

The Faowaou clan capital is Ftoleil (Yahehwe 1406).

Etra Alliance[1][edit]

The Faowaou are enemies of the Etra, a Minor Race who inhabit an 18-world state in Hfiywitir Sector. The Faowaou are heavily involved in the creation and administration of steaakh agreements with minor races, though rivals accuse them of exploiting these species.

In 567 the Faowaou suggested the creation of Steaakh Etra to the main Etra government at Oso (Hfiywitir 1213), seeking resources from the Etra region, and possible further domination of the non-aligned worlds between the Iyestea and Foseakh Outstates. The Etra refused, and the Faowaou started sending troops to the Iyestea Outstate, where they had full control of numerous worlds. This drew the dismay of the local Ui’royeah clan, as well as the Tralyeaeawi clan of Tlaukhu Bloc-3. Over the next weeks, the Tralyeaeawi, assisted by the Ui'royeah, invaded and successfully freed the world of Greposhandir. There were a few Etra ships in the system, and they assisted the Tralyeaeawi. The Faowaou then launched a quick and rather unorganised mission directly into Etra lands.

In 574, the Etra, assisted by the Tralyeaeawi and other enemies of the Faowaou, invaded the Iyestea Outstate. The Faowaou soon opted to (officially) withdraw most of their forces and end their (official) hostilities against the Etra. They have since then constantly tried to downplay the incident, and prevent clans unrelated to the conflict and outsiders (including the Imperials) from knowing about it at all.
