Duncan is currently a Research Associate in Astronomy Research interests include high redshift radio galaxies, and the study of active galactic nuclei and starburst galaxies with ground and space-based infrared observatories.
- He also maintains an interest in computer programming, software design and Anime.

J. Duncan Law-Green was a member of HIWG as the Vland Domain sector editor and author of several articles relating to science in Traveller.
