Description (Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]
Enormous volcanic pressure is built into the planet's dense mantle, which is relieved by extreme volcanic activity at several junctures of the surface. Most of the population lives in semi-mobile communities designed for easy dismantlement and relocation in the event that a volcanic eruption makes a current location untenable to live in.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This world was first colonized by Vargr during the Rule of Man period; their claim has remained unchallenged for the world's entire subsequent history.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Dofil has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
Urbanization[edit]
Vargr cities are lively and chaotic, full of garish colours and loud noises. Streets are packed and buildings press together. Vehicle traffic is fast and chaotic; the accident rate is low only because of superior Vargr reflexes. Zoning codes are rare, and districts jumble together.
World Government (G)[edit]
Dofil is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
Specifically, the world government is a bureaucratic outgrowth of academic groups that track seismic and volcanic activity, placing the population and its movements under their control as a matter of practicality.
Historical Data[edit]
The New Era
A Vampire Fleet slagged the planetary capitol with a nuclear airburst in 1145, and the population has fragmented into feuding nations. The most powerful of these is a TED that has control of the former government's main armory and munitions plant; though the facility can no longer mass produce TL-5 materials, enough are stockpiled to give "king" Athuengun the power to bully his neighbors into tribute. Athuengun is opposed by another TED named "Gaergh the Greedy", who has an alliance with a Vampire Fleet dating back over thirty years. To the common people, Gaergh is preferable to Athuengun, but the former is subject to the whims of his allies, who only resupply his forces at sporadic intervals. As a result of the political changes, the world has been renamed Koloekz.References & Contributors (Sources)[edit]
