The Crusader G-4 class Light Cruiser Tank is a later industrial era TL-6 Armored Fighting Vehicle.
- It is a military vehicle and ATV.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Enlightened 1.5T Crusader G-4 class Light Cruiser Tank, TL-6: The vehicle's sloping hard steel armor sheaths the chassis and turret to levels of protection to protect versus bullets and shell fragments. An improved internal combustion power plant and transmission are linked to a large tracked suspension enjoys very low ground pressure but, suffers very low speed cross country mobility. It can never become bogged down in mud, sand, snow or soft soils. The turret mounted LMG can help deal with encroaching infantry. The auto cannon is used to engage air craft and light armor. It is stabilized to fire effectively on the move. The vehicle has an operational range of 307km by roads and 123km cross country. The vehicle has decent fuel reserves and operational duration, but is crippled by terrible speed. They are extremely under powered for their size. They are inexpensive and have good fire power for a light tank. It was originally intended to move with dismounted infantry, in which case speed wasn't considered a factor. Experience with maneuver warfare has shown that concept to be flawed. The ground pressure is so low it didn't set off enemy anti-tank mines with contact and pressure triggers. The enemy eventually re-calibrated the sensitivity of their mines.
The vehicle has a crew of three: driver, gunner and commander.
