An astrographic feature located across several sector boundaries in Hive Federation space.

Description (Specifications)

This is a Human label for a main providing access to Centrax Sector from Ricenden Sector, where the Hivers originated. It also provides access to core-spinward Wrenton Sector. The Hiver term for the main is unknown.

All systems on the Main are claimed by the Hive Federation. Located on the Centraxian Main are eight High Population worlds.

The Glean Cluster, current seat of the Hive Federation, is reached by jump-2 from the spinward terminus of the Centraxian Main, while its coreward worlds offer similar access to the Ricendi Main. As such, travel between Glea and Guaran makes heavy use of this route.

History & Background (Dossier)

This is a major trade route within Hive Federation space.

High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

Hiver, Gurvin, and Otior traders are regularly encountered.

The following languages are among the most commonly used along this main:

• Gurvin: The common language of the Hive Federation and a secondary language in many of its client states.
• Hiver Sign Language: The silent, visual language used naturally by Hivers.
• Ithkluri: The common language of the Ithklur, and used in conjunction with Gurvin throughout the Hive Federation and adjacent space.
