Khagish is a mystery to xeno-anthropologists. The inhabitants seem by appearance and genetic testing to be modern Human (rather than a variant Human species as are often found on worlds settled by the Ancients), yet there is no record of a colony ever being placed here, and the earliest records of explorers from the Interstellar Wars period show the world as already inhabited.

The population of Khagish is spread to all of the habitable areas of the planet and is organized into multiple nations, most governed by Religious Theocracy of Religious Dictatorship. Law level in most places is very high. It is highly recommended that any trading vessel venturing here have aboard someone familiar with the language and culture of Khagish to act as interpreter and keep the offworlders from inadvertent violation of the many laws and restrictions.
