Campaign:NHNE/Events/Plantation Raids

Taking place in 151 the Plantation Raids were undertaken by radicals from Shelter to free slave workers from various plantations in New Heaven.

Following the Counter-Conformity War, the Government of New Heaven had consigned its prisoners to work-plantations, and had carried this punishment on so that the grandchildren of these opponents were also there some 50 years later. A group from Shelter planned to liberate these forced workers and did so in a major airborne raid in a single night. Nearly 1100 workers were liberated.

Uncharacteristically, the New Earth Council intervened before the situation escalated and imposed a buffer-force along the border between Shelter and New Heaven known as the Red Line (or later, the Red Line Occupation).
