World Military[edit]

In 1122 this was a single battalion funded by Ling Standard Products.

When Ling Standard Products left the world ahead of the more general Abandonment, the troops were offered the option to stay as settlers or go. Many stayed, though the company took all the valuable equipment with them.

History[edit]

1118: First Refugees abandoned on planet by doom-traders. LSP rounds them up as illegal prospectors and hires them out as work-gangs to licensed miners.

1123: Vargr Raids see the Ikhaba Defence Force beleaguered at the starport while the raiders pillaged the outlying settlements. The Imperial Army authorised a Combat Ribbon (Ikhaba 1123) for the defenders who also collected an MCG and three MCUFs between them.

1125 to 1133: More refugees are delivered to the planet from Corridor Sector. These overwhelm LSP's ability to cope and set up outside LSP controlled areas. Some make alliances with the Doom Traders and start raiding LSP settlements. By 1133 over 50% of the population is outside LSP control but it is fragmented into about 18 different major "Estates".

1133: Ling Standard Products evacuates those of its staff who wish to leave and all of its equipment. The economy collapses. Civil War between the "Estates" (with the remaining LSP licensees being the largest single group) starts.

1136: Final option to leave offered by 61st Fleet. This sees about 30% of the remaining population depart in one go. Most of the war is now raiding for the remaining resources - though the various "Estates" are getting backing from off-world in the UFA and Dzarrgh Federate.
