Boreal is a high-population water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water and a population of a billion or more sophonts.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Hyperion Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Not to be confused with the Boreal in distant Spica Sector.
This system is part of the Diadem Main.
History and Background[edit]
Boreal is part of the Diadem Trade League agreement, but has balked at surrendering control to a multi-system organisation based on and led by Baixing, leaving the League a loose arrangement.
World Starport[edit]
Boreal has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
