Blank Rindis Subsector

This page is a template for a blank subsector image as generated by User:Rindis's mapping project to be used generating the image map links. To use a template for use with a blanc Galactic-generated map, go to Blank Galactic Subsector.

The imagemap contains a link for each hex location. It is intended to be used as a template for a Subsector, and allow us to generate subsector image maps, to be used in the Template:InfoboxSubsectorImagemap.

At the time of this writing, the wiki template substitution code and the image map template tags don't interact correctly, so this can not be done automatically.

Using the maps in the Wiki

Once you have a completed map in the correct format (if using his file, export to jpeg at 75 DPI), and upload the image to the wiki using the Upload file tool in the toolbox.

Next copy the entire text of the imagemap tag below to your new page. You will need to make the following list of changes:

1. Change the "Image:Blank subsector.jpg" to the Image name you uploaded previously.
2. Delete the entire line "circle .... [[xxxx]]" which are empty hexes in your subsector.
3. Change the text of the links in the remaining lines to the correct world names. e.g. change [[0101]] to [[MyMines (world)]].
4. Change the text of the links for the four adjacent subsectors ("rect"). Just change the first word in the link to the proper subsector name, and leave the "Subsector" in place.
5. Change the text of the 16 subsector links to the appropriate subsector. Just change the letter in the link to the proper subsector name, and leave the "Subsector" in place.
