Description (Specifications)[edit]

All the plazas are similar in concept although each is different in execution. They are wide open spaces with fountains, terraces, shady trees, and small cozy restaurants. Originally all plazas were the same size, but over the last decade some of them have been enlarged in order to accommodate more towers.

Notable sights include the Botanical Gardens, Carnival Isle, the Cecil Whitmoore Zoological Gardens, the Circle of Worlds museum, Embassy Tower, Government House, Lake Regal, Old Atora, the Regina Center for Research, and the William Aledon Memorial Stadium.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Atora was selected in 251 as the capital of the Regina Cluster because of its proximity to the starport. At that time it was a quiet provincial town with a population of some 80,000. The government made a plan for a city with 10 million inhabitants. A symmetrical pattern was laid out, including 60 great plazas surrounded by vast parks. Strict zoning laws were enacted. Over the years dispensations have been made on occasion, but all in all the original intentions of the city planners have been retained.
