Anka is a world suited to becoming an agricultural world, but with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 sophonts it lacks the capability to produce or process sufficient resources to export its projected agricultural produce. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Arnakhish Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Anka, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. The system supports both an Imperial Naval Base and a Scout Base with the additional starship traffic. During the Long Night this world was named Inzuurkbuun.

Astrography and Planetology[edit]

Anka is a member of the Shegimuud Trace.

Mainworld Topography and Geography[edit]

Anka itself is barren, lacking native life. There is incredible scenery, however, and wilderness tours to locations such as the Spire Mountains, the Colour Desert or the Sea of Stones are enduringly popular. The weather on Anka is violent and unpredictable, and dust storms can sweep off of the deserts with amazing speed.

History and Background[edit]

The community on Anka exists exclusively to support the starport and the associated naval and scout bases. The starport city is called Haven and offers most legal (and, if one looks hard enough, most illegal) forms of entertainment. If it makes money the authorities tend to look the other way. The police force act more as armed tax collectors than as public protectors, and police patrols usually have a marine escort.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Anka has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
