Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Dalet class Asteroid Cruiser is a warship.
- It is a military ship.
Description (Specifications)
The Dalet Class Asteroid Cruiser is an unstreamlined buffered asteroid hull structure is inexpensively harvested from the system's asteroid belts. It is fitted with a 100 ton refueling lighter and a fuel purification plant. The thick rocky/metallic hull provides some free, if bulky protection. There is enough fuel aboard for a single jump 3 and drives provide 3Gs acceleration. It carries light meson screens and a nuclear damper system. A company of 100 marines is carried with drop capsules. The numerous 100 ton missile bays are for orbital bombardment, this arsenal can force poorly defended planets to capitulate to a single vessel of this class. The vessel mounts the following weapon systems:
- 10 heavy missile bays,
- 300 triple sand caster turrets, firing as 30 batteries
- 300 dual fusion gun turrets, firing as 30 batteries and
- 300 triple laser turrets, firing as 30 batteries.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
