World Starport

Senlis has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Senlis is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. The only body of water on the surface of Senlis is the Great Lake, an expanse of brackish, tainted water. Most of the world's population dwell along great artificial canals that surround the Great Lake.

  • There are nine of these canal networks, and at the head of each is a huge water-purification plant.
  • For centuries the Senlis government has used drugs added to the water supply to sedate or manipulate the emotions of the population according to political need.
