Colony Six is a nonindustrial, pre-rich water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It still lacks adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- Its economy is growing and living conditions are expected to rise in the near future barring outside forces.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Goertel Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector.
Description (Planetology)
The world is entirely covered in ocean, so the inhabitants are divided into three castes (see below).

History & Background (Dossier)
Colony Six is a non-aligned water world located in the Goertel Subsector of the Trojan Reach.
- This world was originally settled by the inhabitants of the Ark Six, a sublight colony ship dispatched from Terra (Solomani Rim 1827) in -2445.
- Even today, Colony Six has only a handful of jump-capable ships and this, combined with a lack of resources, makes the world vulnerable to attack.

Non-canon: Colony Six is a comfortable world with a dense, breathable atmosphere and a population of 300,000. It is a complete water-world , with absolutely no land masses. Its government is a representative democracy, with the populace voting on the members of the thirty-seat government council.
The inhabitants are divided into three distinct castes of sea-riders, wind-riders, and spacers.
- Colony Six has two distinct societies: the sea-riders, who live in huge, floating boat-cities several kilometers across, and the windriders, living in small, non-mobile gravitic cities.
- Two-thirds of the population are sea-riders.
- They are the industrial force of the world, as well as the collectors and growers of food — mostly various types of fish.
- The world's type A starport is built on a sea-rider city.
- On the other hand. the wind-riders run the bureaucracy, universities, and research institutions.
- The two societies coexist in a mutually beneficial, symbiotic relationship.
The third caste, the spacers, are the smallest caste, who mine asteroids and defend the system against regular attacks from Aslan or Glorious Empire raiders.
