This Astrographic Phenomenon, like many other anomalies, is poorly understood.

Known and Suspected Reefs

The Great Reef of Touchstone Sector is an example of this phenomenon.

It is suspected that The Borderland Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector may contain a jump reef.

The Hoydell's Chaos anomaly in coreward Kruse Sector has features of a Jump Reef, as well as those of a jump shoal.
