Trailing Bulge

An unofficial administrative and cultural region of the Hive Federation.

The Trailing Bulge consists of the mid and rimward parts of Folgore Sector and Avereguar Sector. Expansion to trailing-rimward is impeded by the area of low stellar density known as the Kolire-Kidunal Sparsity. Other than the systems bordering the Sparsity, the Bulge is very much an 'internal' region of the Hive Federation where ships on naval missions are rarely encountered.
