The Matabele National Museum is the oldest museum in the New Earth System

History

Malusi Nene was a hoarder. But hoarded in a systematic manner. And he recorded the everyday life of the colony of Matabele for 52 years (and before that South Africa and Touchdown City) until his death in 54.

His diary and collection were preserved by his Daughter - arranged so anyone could come to see what the first days of the colony were like, and added to by various benefactors. This collection became the foundation of the Matabele National Museum - the title having been applied by Malusi's grandson in 73.
