Touchdown City is the capital City of Touchdown
Bisected by the Hope River in the middle of which is Council Island, headquarters of the New Earth Council.
The planet's largest Spaceport, Touchdown Spaceport is adjacent to the city but is technically outside the city boundary.
The western suburb "Akan" includes the last speakers of Ashanti. A suburb is known as the Binichet District and is named after a market-garden enterprise established by Analise Binichet, an early Governor.
The Terrarium is an area of several 2km diameter domes holding recreated biomes of various areas of Old Earth. It has been surrounded by the suburbs of Touchdown City.
