Built for the Varellan Empire, the Kasparov class Light Fighter is a streamlined needle/wedge structure with fuel scoops for ocean refueling. The ship is capable of 6 G's of acceleration but has no agility. The model 3 computer, mounted adjacent to the small craft bridge and the beam laser consume its energy output. The crew consists of a pilot and a gunner. The design is intended to screen larger ships and provide intelligence gathering. There is a small craft stateroom to permit extended operations. The vessel mounts the following weapon systems:
