Description / Specifications
A small personal transport vehicle designed for the civilian market.
Hull / Suspension
A generally streamlined steel/plastic hull. Length: 4m, Width: 1.5m, Height: 1.7m. Unloaded Weight: 1100 kg.
- Overall volume: approximately 9.5m³ (0.7 dTons).
- Note that the overall volume measures the vehicles maximum dimensions and includes road clearance. The contained volume of the contoured hull is substantially lower.
The vehicle is fitted with wheeled suspension.
- The vehicle performs excellently on metalled surfaces but has very limited off-road capability.
Power / Transmission
A small internal combustion power plant using hydrocarbon fuel. The fuel is contained within a small protected tank.
Performance
- Cruise Speed 90 kph, Top Speed 130 kph. Off-road speed less than 20 kph.
- Range 1000 km at cruise, 700 km at top speed.
Crew / Passengers
An enclosed cabin containing two front seats and two rear seats – an additional passenger can be accommodated on the rear seat though such arrangements are cramped. Seating is fitted with safety belts. Basic environment (the hull is weatherproof but is not sealed). The driver's position is fitted with basic mechanical controls and a console that provides information such as velocity.
Internal cargo storage: 0.3m³. If the rear seats are stowed flat the internal cargo storage becomes 3.3m³, but only the driver and one passenger may be accommodated. Maximum load (including passengers): 500 kg before performance is dramatically impaired.
Equipment
Headlights and running lights. Small (typically 50 km range) radio receiver.
History / Background
A cheap, popular model of ground car available in a variety of body styles and colors. Vehicles of this kind are produced in vast numbers and are broadly available (at extremely competitive prices) from showrooms in almost any urban area.
