Shidka is a rich and agricultural production world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere and a balance of available surface water. The system supports a population in the millions of sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Argi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Shidka, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight (the Imperial representative to the world) and the fiefdom of a baron. Both are members of the Imperial Landed Nobility who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level. During the Long Night this world was named Erka.

Astrography and planetology

The planet is a botanist’s dream, the flora is constantly mutating and adapting. It should be noted that animal life above insect level never evolved on the planet and several species of plant have adapted to fill various ecological niches occupied by animal life on many better-known planets.

Shidka has a solitary primary star.

History and background

One of the main agricultural supply worlds of Argi Subsector. The natives of Shidka are renowned for their knowledge of plants and herbs and their correct applications.

There is an indigenous race of Chirpers, living in the equatorial rain forests. Although very litle research has ever been carried out on the Chirpers, local legends state that they are almost mystical botanists.
