A high-population Imperial world located in the Rhylanor Subsector of the Spinward Marches. Zivije has a warm climate and a corrosive atmosphere containing sulfurous compounds.

Zivije benefits from an excellent infrastructure, which is necessary to support a large population in an inhospitable environment. General Products has a major plant on-planet that constructs grav vehicles for the general market and heavy-duty grav units for industrial and military use. In addition to the City of Zivije, other notable settlements include Pusuurk City, Karirbush, Kashar, Mikuunki, Kafka Town, and Kiiki. Elsewhere in the system, the Marrestie Orbital Arcology (CS005DB-9) orbits the gas giant Zivije VI and has its own minor spaceport and is a member state of the Imperium in its own right. The inhabitants of the Arcology are xenophobic members of the Church of Stellar Divinity ruled by their religious leaders.

In 604 the Zivije system was the site of the famed Battle of Zivije, one of the climactic battles of the First Frontier War, where Grand Admiral Olav hault-Plankwell smashed the gathered Zhodani/Vargr expeditionary fleet.

In 1075 Ine Givar agents smuggled a fusion warhead into Kashar, killing 2.8 million people.

During the Fifth Frontier War Zivije was a primary military target and the Zhodani made several attempts to occupy the planet, including landing an assault division. However, the Zhodani were never able to secure Zivije, and their troops had to contend with a pre-planted insurgency movement.
