The Voyagers' Bones are stony structures resembling gigantic ribcages, usually clustered into small “compounds”, found on a number of worlds within the Distant Fringe.
Description / Specifications
They are made of a complex highly resilient material that appears to be manufactured rather than being of organic origin, despite showing distinct aspects of biological purpose and funcion at a microscopic level.
History & Background / Dossier
Dating Voyagers' Bones has proven to be difficult, but environmental and geological evidence indicates that they are approximately 250,000–300,000 years old. Interest in Voyagers’ Bones increased following Slaver Year, when it was discovered that a collection of these artefacts existed at the center of the energy dome associated with that event.
