Halcyonic New Republic

A successor state to the Second Confederation in Halcyon Sector, founded in 3401AD. It had its capital at Scybria (2012 Halcyon) and its territory had formed the Expansionist faction heartlands during the civil wars. Each member world was represented by Senators and the head of state was the President. It was heavily influenced by the so-called Mantlerist movement, declaring universal freedoms, personal liberty, and principles of social care as the underlying foundations of the state. The ordinary citizens had a strong dislike of privilege and throughout its existence there was internal friction with land-owning Fives. In 3638AD the New Republic merged with the Collective of Nist to form the Grand Ascendency.
