First Battle of Jaradin

5342AD. A naval battle between the Scybrian Polyarchy and the Corolian Jurisdicture fought in the Jaradin system (1010 Halcyon) during the Invasion period of the Scybrian Wars. A Scybrian strike force ambushed Polyarchy naval forces while they were performing large-scale manoeuvres around a gas giant. It took the Jurisdicture forces a long time to realise that the attacks were coming from real enemies and weren’t part of the exercise, and in the confusion large numbers of Corolian ships were lost. Scybrian forces withdrew following the strike, having scored a substantial victory.
