Araniopa is a rich, pre-agricultural world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in size.
- The world's agricultural industry is growing and some economists forecast an explosion in this world's agribusiness in the near future as new agro-technology and a more capable labor force are imported.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Araniopa Subsector of Beyond Sector.
- This world is designated as a Sanctuary World, where any sophont may find safety and freedom from extradition for any reason. [2]
- Araniopa is the center of the Araniopan League, a loose confederation of planets leagued against the Aslan Colonies to rimward and trailing.[3]
- Araniopa is sometimes considered to be an "unofficial" independent subsector government with pro-Imperial leanings. [2]
