History & Background (Dossier)
During the Long Night this world was named Zuushgi.
The companies that operate on this world date back many hundreds of years. During the past these companies grew so large they maintained their own armies. Some companies overthrew local governments and fought wars with others. Currently, a companies history is its pride and a company's strength is its army. Shuakhaur's past is strewn with minor, but bloody, wars over limited natural resources. Some companies have allegiances with one or more of the world's governments. For the companies this allows recruiting both new employees and new army members.
Company generals are regarded are heroes. The soldiers are rewarded with prized and decorations, worn with pride. Decorations for valour are the most prized.
Shuakhaurns regard off-worlders with some suspicion and usually don't travel off-world. This is encouraged by the companies to restrict disruptive imports. Any merchants wanting to export goods are exceedingly well treated.
