Khimkaa is a pre-agricultural, pre-Industrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.
- It requires significant imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Bolivar Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
- During the Long Night this world was named Kaen.
Description (Planetology)
Despite orbiting a cool, red star, the dense CO2 atmosphere of Khimkaa ensures temperatures here regularly reach 45°C, thus the society has become mainly nocturnal.
- They are also evenly spread across the planet, with no more than 100,000 in the five largest cities.
Point of Interest: Advanced Weather-control System
An advanced weather-control system ensures that there is plenty of daylight for solar power generation and storage systems and that there is two hours of precipitation before sunset.
- This rainfall is timed to allow the air and ground to cool before the Khimkaans leave their air-condition homes.
