Sch'ikaa Waypoint

(Loosely, 'First Junction'). Either of two Sath Waypoints located within deep space at (2435 Far Home).
Description / Specifications
The first Sch'ikaa Waypoint was operational from the middle part of 25th century. Its construction opened the Chaiik system to jump-1 travel. The waypoint was destroyed around 3730AD when the Voyagers arrived in the distant Fringe.
The second Sch'ikaa Waypoint was constructed in the same location around 5100AD, at the close of the Golden Age. It was a link in the jump bridge between the Sha’a Cluster and the K’shek cluster. It was decommissioned in 5560AD due to its increasingly poor condition and the growing availability of domestically produced jump-2 starships. It was broken up for scrap in the 5580s.
