Khimkaa is a pre-agricultural, pre-Industrial world with a moderate population of over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts.

• It requires significant imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
• Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly improve barring outside forces.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Bolivar Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
• During the Long Night this world was named Kaen.

Description (Planetology)

Despite orbiting a cool, red star, the dense CO₂ atmosphere of Khimkaa ensures temperatures here regularly reach 45°C, thus the society has become mainly nocturnal.

• They are also evenly spread across the planet, with no more than 100,000 in the five largest cities.

Point of Interest: Advanced Weather-control System

An advanced weather-control system ensures that there is plenty of daylight for solar power generation and storage systems and that there is two hours of precipitation before sunset.

• This rainfall is timed to allow the air and ground to cool before the Khimkaans leave their air-condition homes.
