The Perseus Arm is the next major spiral arm of Galaxias found rimward of Charted Space.

LOCAL GALACTIC STRUCTURE:
The Local Region of Charted Space lies within a galactic arm of stars to coreward (known as the Orion Spur or Orion Arm) of the Perseus Arm.

History & Background (Dossier)

Scientists currently debate as to whether or not the Local Region of Charted Space actually lies within a rimward Spur of the Sagittarius-Carina Arm known as the Orion Spur, or whether the Local Region is actually a more substantive minor arm of its own (the Orion Arm) that is a coreward split from the Perseus Arm.
