A Fire Control Computer is a specialized computer designed to control weapon system mounted on Ships and vehicles. The computer is the local computer system in the Workstation used for the gunnery positions. This computer connects to the Ship's Computer and Master Fire Director to determine target selection, and controls the final details of weapons operation.
In setup where one gunnery workstation controls multiple weapons or turrets, the Fire Control computer serves as the interface between the weapon and the workstation.
