Long-Range Pattern Starship

Vessels fitted with fuel tankage holding large reserves of hydrogen fuel, typically adequate fuel to perform two (or more) jumps and to support the power plant for up to six weeks. Drop-tanks or collapsible fuel tanks may be carried by long-range ships to further increase their range. The Last Armada was made up of long-range vessels.

Description / Specifications

Long-Range vessels are less efficient in terms of revenue generated per ton of displacement volume. A significant part of their internal volume is dedicated to fuel storage rather than being available as useable space.
